Fitness yoga

Fitness yoga differs significantly from the classical practice. Its exercises are more dynamic and active than in the classical version of yoga.

Nevertheless, fitness yoga includes active movements which can be often replaced by static movements allowing working with many muscle groups. For beginners fitness yoga will be easy to perform and easy to understand.

To practice this type of yoga a beginner should choose a good trainer. It is noteworthy that many experts can transform this practice into a popular fitness area. However, this is fundamentally wrong, since it still implies practical work, the same as in the classic version.

To maintain your body in a good shape, you need to practice yoga every day, while you can do fitness yoga only two or three times a week. Classes should include periodic meditations. However, in fitness yoga physical practices and static loads take the most of time; breathing exercises are also presented. The difference from classical yoga is that in the classical version, the spiritual world of a person, self-consciousness, and self-awareness are the most important.

Usually, classes comprise different groups according to the level of physical shape. It often happens that people do not seek to move to a higher level of training, since even the initial stage implies the formation of a strong muscular corset, correct posture and well-being.

Fitness yoga eliminates intense cardio. It mainly contributes to the development of coordination, strength, and endurance.
